Trained and supervised technicians on overnight aircraft maintenance checks and on call maintenance as a contract maintenance provider. Performed overnight checks on Aloha Airlines B737-700, and 800 ETOPS aircraft. Certified as a maintenance trainer by airlines. Conducted daily repair station operations with personnel, customers and corporate offices. Performed on-call maintenance when required.

Responsible for managing the C and D checks on Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Airbus and Lockheed type aircraft. Implemented a maintenance-training program. Supervised maintenance crew in performing various maintenance checks and increased crew performance by implementing and conducting an OJT program.

Supervised maintenance crew in performing A, B, and C checks on MD11, DC10 and B757 aircraft. Conducted training classes on support equipment and job tasks cards. Prepared contract bids for maintenance checks and aircraft storage. Scheduled manpower requirements for maintenance checks.

Performed line maintenance on C-141 aircraft systems. Shift supervisor for airframe repairs, Quality Assurance inspector for F-4 aircraft systems, and planned, scheduled, implemented and managed a maintenance training program for aircraft technicians that also included hydraulic system trouble shooting, repair, and manufacture and installation of hydraulic lines and components.
Note: It was difficult to find employment in Aviation upon my discharge from the military and it was during this time that I found employment in the retail trade.
