Worked very closely with DCMA with the DC-10 program in Lake Charles Louisiana. Assisted with acquiring AS9100 certification, and continued re-certification, would approve drawing change orders in PDM. In process and final release inspections of wire harnesses and components. Certified as a R-6 Sigma Specialist.


Certified Aviation Services Inc., Las Vegas, Nevada – Station Manager March 2004 to December 2004

Trained and supervised technicians on overnight aircraft maintenance checks and on call maintenance as a contract maintenance provider. Performed overnight checks on Aloha Airlines B737-700, and 800 ETOPS aircraft. Certified as a maintenance trainer by airlines. Conducted daily repair station operations with personnel, customers and corporate offices. Performed on-call maintenance when required.   


Hawaiian Airlines, Ontario, California - Maintenance Supervisor May 2002 to April 2004

Trained and supervised technicians on overnight aircraft maintenance checks and ETOPS inspections for DC10 and B767ER aircraft. Qualified to sign Aircraft Release, perform RII Inspections, Engine Run-up and Taxi and Hazardous Material shipping. Supervised off-field aircraft system troubleshooting manufactured hydraulic lines and performed repairs. Hawaiian Airlines Maintenance Representative during aircraft heavy “B” and “C” maintenance checks.


SR Technics, Palmdale, California – Production Manager May 2001 to April 2002

Shift Manager for all aircraft hangar maintenance operations, which includes aircraft B and C checks, DC10, MD10 and B737 modifications. Worked closely with the Engineering Department in implementing and scheduling aircraft system modifications and provided aircraft system and hydraulic trouble shooting expertise. Supervise technicians in the OJT program and arranged manpower work planning for schedule and unscheduled maintenance operations. Engine Run-up and Taxi qualified.


Express One Intl., Dallas, Texas – A&P Line Technician September 2000 to May 2001

Performed line maintenance on B727-200 aircraft. This includes line inspections, maintenance checks, hydraulic servicing, troubleshooting, manufacturing, installation, and repair of aircraft hydraulic systems. Engine Run-up and Taxi qualified.


Avtel Services Inc., Mojave, California – Station Manager February 1999 to Sept. 2000 / Maintenance Supervisor September 1996 to August 1998

Responsible for managing the C and D checks on Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, Airbus and Lockheed type aircraft. Implemented a maintenance-training program. Supervised maintenance crew in performing various maintenance checks and increased crew performance by implementing and conducting an OJT program.


Pemco World Air Services, Victorville, California – Supervisor August 1998 to February 1999

Supervised maintenance crew in performing A, B, and C checks on MD11, DC10 and B757 aircraft. Conducted training classes on support equipment and job tasks cards. Prepared contract bids for maintenance checks and aircraft storage. Scheduled manpower requirements for maintenance checks.


AIRO Industries, Van Nuys, California - Director of Operation & Manager of Sales & Marketing August 1995 to September 1996

Arranged contracts with Airline customers to refurbish and modify aircraft cabin interiors. Scheduled and plan the interior modification and conducted training of new hires to read manuals, blue prints and engineering orders.


United States Air Force – Crew Chief, Shift Supervisor, Inspector and Training Manager January 1988 to January 1992

Performed line maintenance on C-141 aircraft systems. Shift supervisor for airframe repairs, Quality Assurance inspector for F-4 aircraft systems, and planned, scheduled, implemented and managed a maintenance training program for aircraft technicians that also included hydraulic system trouble shooting, repair, and manufacture and installation of hydraulic lines and components.



Note: It was difficult to find employment in Aviation upon my discharge from the military and it was during this time that I found employment in the retail trade.
