Vesta, a Lubrizol company is a contract manufacturer that specializes in producing thermoplastic extruded tubing and components for medical devices that are used in hospitals internationally.

Vesta is located in Corona California which is located in Riverside County.
We less than 30 miles away from the beach and Disneyland.
Vesta Corona, California location has a class 8 certified clean room, which is 17,000 square feet.
We have 14 extrusion lines as well as co-ex lines.
We are able to run multiple extruders which can produce a two layer, stripes and three layer extrusion.

POSITION
Summary:
The purpose of this job is to provide support to the secondary operations, processing tubing after extrusion, variety of inspections, including cutting, packaging and making product available to ship to the customers.

DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities are functions of the job and should not reflect the special talents or performance of an employee.
- Cutting, packaging of various products
- Preparing packages for shipment (inner and outer bags)
- Sorting and counting of various sizes of customer product
- Documenting of work completed
- Secondary operations (such as; annealing, heat shrink expansion and tipping)
- Use of oven (extreme heat)
- Placing and removing materials and tubing in and out of inventory
- Visual Inspection
- Use of heat shrink machine
- Manual bag sealer w/heating element
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing - GDPs
- Performs other required duties as needed in addition to the essential duties and responsibilities described above.
DESCRIPTION OF MARGINAL DUTIES:
- Maintains standards for housekeeping and safety.
TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED DEPENDING ON THE JOB THAT IS BEING RUN:
- Laser micrometer
- Hole gauges
- Pin gauges
- Snap gauges
- Mandrels
- Microscope
- Various types of cutting tools
- Ruler
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT:
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses in the designated areas
- Hair net/beard net and lab coat when on production floor
SPECIAL VISION REQUIREMENTS:
- Close vision (20% or less),
- Color vision ability to identify and distinguish colors,
- Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationship)
- Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.

During Secondary Operations Technician work, employee will constantly be exposed to dynamic standing/walking and use of hands to finger/handle or touch.
The employee will occasionally be exposed static standing/sitting, to pushing/pulling (up to 25 lbs of force), floor to knuckle lift/lower (up to 25lbs), knuckle to shoulder lift/lower (up to 25 lbs), shoulder to overhead lift/lower, climb/balance (on stairs/ladder), stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl, reach above shoulders and repetitive bending or squatting with rare (if ever) exposure to sustained bending or use foot/feet to operate machine.
The following vision requirements apply:
close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee will constantly be exposed to working near moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to working in high/precarious places (ladder), fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
The employee will rarely (if ever) be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold or heat (non-weather), wet/humid non- weather conditions or travel on company business.
The noise level is considered moderate (business office with computer printers/light traffic).
The noise level is considered loud (normal shop floor conditions while machines are in operation).
The employee will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as:
safety glasses in the designated areas, hairnet/beard net and jumpsuit when on the production floor, gloves when handling hot objects or solvents, earplugs when required and steel toed shoes (preferred).

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Up to and including 3 months of experience.
- 2-5 years of experience, equivalent to, and with basic measurement experience (centimeters and inches).
EDUCATION:
Successful completion of 4-years of high school, or any combination of education or equivalent.
