Regional Administrative Assistant

Overview
Walsh Construction is currently seeking a Regional Administrative Assistant to provide support to the Regional Office staff in a variety of roles and responsibilities to support the Southern California Transportation & Transit Business Group located in the Los Angeles, CA area.
The Project Admin Assistant for a construction office provides customer service and support to the project team, as well as other vendors and subcontractors.
The successful candidate must commit to a Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM work schedule. Being timely, prompt and reliable is paramount to the success of this position. Occasional over-time may be required depending on assignment or needs of office.

Responsibilities
Assisting Executives and Managers with various administrative and office duties including but not limited to:
Answers phones
Monitors office inventory
Ships materials
Payroll & A/P processing
Contract management
Creates and maintains filing system containing confidential documents
Updates jobsite notices, hiring packets, safety logs, and contracts
Schedules meetings, books travel, assists with filing expense reports
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
2-4 years of experience in an office setting
Proficient with MS Office Programs
Great communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience with filing systems
Experience with data entry
Payroll software experience is a plus
Strong follow up skills
Self-motivated
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently
Ability to work with a variety of construction management industry professionals at all levels in a professional and polite manner
