QC Inspector--C/Hor DP

DESCRIPTION: The Quality Control Specialist Inspector is responsible for providing technical guidance and encouraging best practices for welding and NDE, to assist in the understanding and interpretation of ASME code, and to coordinate and support the training and certification activities of QC associates.
FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical guidance on welding and NDE.
2. Encourage best practices and continuous improvement for welding and NDE.
3. Assist in the understanding and interpretations of ASME code.
4. Coordinate and provide training to QC associates and to shop operators as needed.
5. Assist and monitor QC Inspector Certification activities.
6. Develop and maintain a certification matrix for NDE activities.
7. Document results of training and certification accurately and in a timely basis.
8. Identify, investigate and report product quality concerns relating to weld quality and NDE concerns.
9. Ensure weld quality and NDE non-conformances are effectively resolved.
10. Periodically monitor production line inspections for welds and NDE to ensure adherence to regulations and requirements.
11. Document results of inspections and testing accurately.
12. Complete and maintain quality records (such as inspection records, non-conformance reports, deviations, etc.) in a timely and accurate manner.
13. Comply with internal Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
14. Effectively utilize leadership skills to lead teams and mentor individuals
15. Foster and maintain strong organizations skills to ensure all inspections are conducted in timely manner and all records are readily accessible.
16. Uphold quality expectations/standards in the most ethical and responsible manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. High School or GED equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in welding and NDE in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance capacity.
2. Ten or more years experience with pressure vessels in the oil/gas/energy industry.
3. NDE Certifications in PT/UT/RT/MT/VT (Level III desired).
4. Basic math skills required.
5. Able to read technical drawings, understand ASME, and maintain material quality and traceability requirements per ISO9001.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
2. Must be able to follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions.
3. Must have strong organization skills and pay accurate attention to details.
4. Basic math skills required.
5. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete them in a timely manner.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
7. Must be able to lead teams and mentor individuals.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
