Utilizes basic technical knowledge to support IT initiatives and provide first-level technical information systems support.
Resolves routine technical problems.
May train employees on various applications.
Responsibilities and Duties Performs basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems for department users.
Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies.
Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
Maintains and updates record keeping system; may document projects and maintain user instructions.
Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, general reports and/or systems errors.
Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
Assists with the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.
Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Work within our ticketing system to create detailed work logs and technical documentation.
Use appropriate communication and documentation to inform team of important issues and information which will help improve team performance.
Inform and coordinate with Operations and other computer users of procedures that would interrupt, affect, or interfere with their work.
Escalate issues to Tier 2 as needed, as well as set customer expectations for follow-up (i.
e.
when to expect a follow-up contact and by whom).
Maintain good working relationships with all cooperative workers.
Treat co-workers and members with respect and courtesy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Ability to handle and prioritize a lot of tasks each day.
Ability to produce user and troubleshooting documentation that other people can understand.
Ability to provide direction to staff and/or student to resolve technological issues Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware, software, and/or network solutions.
Ability to analyze and resolve basic computer problems.
Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of PC and/or mainframe applications and systems.
Conditions of Employment Successful candidate may be subject to a criminal background check, clean driving record, drug test prior to starting work.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort Moderate physical activity.
Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and/or standing and/or walking an average of four (4) hours per day.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment but at times work outside, at times will require travel.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
