PROJECT ENGINEER--TRAFFIC ($80k-$95k DOE)

JOB SUMMARYThe Project EngineerTraffic is responsible for supporting each project with design tracking and coordination of all aspects of construction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSFour-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training, completion of Electrical Apprenticeship and/or related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Two years construction management, estimating and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction.
Familiarity with PlanGrid Construction Software.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Ability to read/interpret/analyze construction schedules.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Extensive document controls experience.
Working knowledge of job cost tracking.
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
Ability to prioritize and complete projects accurately and on schedule.
Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
Working knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and tact in high stress or ambiguous situations.
Must have safe driving record and a valid driver's license according to legal requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Review and understand project drawings and specs.
Provides technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
Tracks construction contract design changes and updates.
Tracks project construction progress in addition to tracking job costs.
Assists with preparation of change orders and maintenance of project change order log.
Assists with development and maintenance of project schedule.
Assists with development and maintenance of submittals log and RFI logs.
Prepares project submittals and submits written RFIs to client.
Assists with punch list and close-out.
This position may be required to drive.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Compensation Range:
$80k-$95k Discretionary Bonus eligible Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with company match Vacation and Sick Leave ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
