We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor in our Corona location for Bar Line production.
The Production Supervisor will manage efficient production of safe, high quality product, and the timely delivery of customer orders.
Essential Functions/
Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 10 or more employees and temporary employees in the production line.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.
Effectively interfaces and coordinates between other department and employees Trains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity with minimum labor and food costs Supervise daily manpower planning including assignment of responsibilities and production lines as well as time & attendance.
Responsible for communicating any mechanical/electrical issues to the General Manager immediately.
Ensure the safety of products through enforcement of FDA and GMP requirements and Standard Operating Procedures Ensures that all Company, customer, Federal, State and local policies and procedures are followed Responsible for following ALL Plant Safety Rules and OSHA Rules:
understand and follow plant safety rules including/but not limited to safe lifting practices, safety on machine operations.
Education, Work Experience, Skill Requirements & Certifications:
Minimum Education-Some college preferred Minimum Experience required:
5
years of related experience as a Production Supervisor in the Food/Dietary Supplement Industry.
Prior experience running an Extrusion bar line as well as experience with chocolate and enrobing equipment.
Good troubleshooting skills to determine bar line equipment problems and solutions.
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) 21CFR 111 Good supervisory experience (3-5 years) managing more than 10 employees and temporary employees Working knowledge of OSHA rules and regs and other federal requirements Excellent communication, written and grammatical skills.
Ability to read, speak and write in English Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) plant safety and OSHA requirements Proven success with working in a team environment.
Be able to learn and use our ERP/WMS software Additional Information:
Exposure to food allergens, wheat, nuts, coconut, soy products May work additional overtime including weekends Job Type:
