Shella works directly with clients who are physically or mentally disabled.
Our client population are children, adults, and seniors through different counties such as San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and Orange County surrounding areas.
Respite Caregiver should be able to care for their client(s) in a professional and compassionate caring manner.
It is an often-demanding job.
You must be available for clients on most days, evenings, and on weekends depending on flexibility and availability.
Must have excellent communication skills such as being able to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks requested by the client and employer.
Caregiver
Responsibilities:
Personal Care Services:
Bathing, Dressing, Toileting, Lift, Transfer, Assist and Clean-up after soilage or messes.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare Clean-up after feeding, and spillage.
Light Cleaning:
Wipe down, laundry, dusting, take out trash, client need.
Daily Enrichment Activities:
Crafts, puzzles, reading, and or board games.
Report/Communication:
All incidents, injury, or suspicion of any abuse.
Act and respond quickly in case of emergency.
Caregivers Requirements:
COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are required to wear a mask, sanitize common surfaces regularly and have complete vaccination status and booster for covid19.
Must have access to email to receive and respond to all HR correspondences.
Must have a smartphone for required timekeeping Respitrack Mobile App.
Must provide certifications:
CPR, First Aid, TB test Chest/Arm, Auto Insurance, and Covid19 Vaccine Card.
Must be able to provide personal care or companion supervision care to children, adults, and seniors of which some have grants that require light homemaker services or chore services.
Must have physical endurance:
Able to lift about 40lbs and up, transfer, lift, bend, stoop, walk and/or push clients in wheelchairs.
Must be able to adhere to all health and safety standards, ongoing quarterly training, and policy change.
Must always be compassionate, respectful, and professional when working with any client.
