Responsibilities:
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years' experience required.
Live tooling and dual spindle experience preferred but mot mandatory.
Must know how to read prints, understand GD&T, know GCode , understand , machining principles, experience with different metals; Aluminum, Aluminum Nickle Bronze, Stainless, Titanium.
Experience with FANUC controls Strong mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities:
Machine Setup:
Setting up the CNC lathe machine by installing and aligning cutting tools, fixtures, and work pieces according to set up sheet and blue print.
Loading and editing CNC programs into the machine's control system, specifying cutting paths, speeds, and feeds for the desired part geometry.
Choosing appropriate cutting tools and adjusting their positions and offsets to ensure accurate and efficient machining operations resulting in a conforming 1st piece.
Quality Control:
Conducting regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, comparator and gauges to verify parts are holding tolerance.
Record 1st piece inspection results on Manufacturing Inspection Control Plan.
Troubleshooting:
Identifying and resolving machine or tooling problems, such as tool wear or breakage, material inconsistencies, or programming errors, to maintain optimal production efficiency.
Making updates to offsets and or replacing cutting tools as needed.
Accurately recording production data, including quantities produced, cycle times, tool usage, and any other relevant information for quality control and reporting purposes.
Safety Compliance:
Adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
Participated in developing continuous improvements of machining operations.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
