Requirements:
AA with focus on accounting or BA/BS in AccountingA/P and A/R
Experience:
4 years minimumApplies strong understand of accounting and financial principles.
Heavy vendor contacts with collections activities to include phone contacts, email and other written formatsMust be professional in oral presentation and when formulating written documents.
Experience handling 1,000
vendor accounts.
Credit cards transactions and Banking reconciliation:
1 year experienceAttention to details, understands the application of G/L and cost center to transactions.
Demonstrated application of analytical skills in work experience.
Previous experience using Accounting DatabaseOpen to learning our accounting database which is MACOLA.
Use MS Office (Excel, Word, Email) at an intermediate levelTyping 35 WPM or better.
Able to run report from Accounting Database.
Uses existing or create Excel documents and able to write or understands basic formulas.
Accounting Duties:
Apply customer payments.
Deposit incoming checks online.
Performs collections activities via Phone/E-mail and collect on past due accounts.
Resolve payment discrepancies.
Maintain Past due Account Spreadsheet.
Process credit card orders.
Match Invoices to Purchase Order Receipts.
Process A/P invoices.
Interface with Purchasing Dept on payable discrepancies.
Process weekly check runs.
Open mail / Filing / Sorting.
Manage Daily Cash Spreadsheet.
Other duties may be assigned.
