CAD I Drafter- Solidworks
Summary:
Assists the Engineering department with hardware, packing and red marking using Solid Works.
Draft approval, productions and installation drawings as needed by custom order.
Duties & Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
1.
Develops detailed design drawings and specifications for mounts, tools and controls using computer-assisted (Solidworks) program.
2.
Coordinates with and consults with other CAD Designers to design lay-out or detailed components and systems to resolve design and other problems.
3.
Positions instructions and comments onto drawing.
4.
Works efficiently to reduce production problems.
5.
Confirms dimensions of materials to be used and assigns numbers to the materials.
6.
Lays out and draws schematic, angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems and machines.
7.
Operates computer-aided drafting equipment or conventional drafting station to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records.
8.
Draws drafts for mount structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
9.
Determines procedures and instructions to be followed according to design specifications and quantity of required materials.

Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, ommon fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of CAD; Solidsworks program.
