Overview Bowhead seeks to network with a Systems Engineer - Lead to support an upcoming effort in Corona, CAResponsibilitieso Ability to function as a lead systems analyst, network engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can also manage networks, as an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.o Responsible for sophisticated systems that run on the web and integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.o Support the development cycle associated with producing resilient software, hardware, and web applications, including specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.o Monitor the big picture of technical aspects and manage costs, schedules, and various complex issues associated with projects.o Provide engineering support for initiatives including, but not limited to, VMware, IBM Endpoint Manager, Splunk, and NetApp enterprise storage system.o Provide O&M support for various Department transition initiatives to Corporate ServicesProvide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deploymentsQualifications o Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, or related fieldo At least ten (10) years' experience leading and mentoring a system engineering team in design, development, virtualization, network protocols, cyber security integration, test evaluation planning documents, technical publications, and reportso Microsoft Windows operating systems and Active Directory infrastructure administration to include Group Policy Objects managemento SAN fundamentals to include virtual machine and LUN provisioning, snapshots, and zoningo Minimum DOD 8570 IAT level II certification required (i.e., CompTIA Security
CE)o Splunk, IBM Endpoint Manager, WSUS, Powershell, PowerCLI, Bash or Pythono Department of Defense (DoD) networking and security accreditation requirements:
Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)o Familiarity with Host Based Security System (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)ServiceNow a pluso DevOps management practices and tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppeto Cloud-Based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platformo Containerization tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Secret Security ClearanceUS Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this locationPhysical Demands:
