Karman is headquartered in greater Los Angeles and currently has 5 locations in Southern California and 1 location in Mukilteo, Washington.
Summary:
Assemble manufactured / purchased details to meet assembly requirements.
Review assembly Engineering blue prints, parts lists and specifications; verify details and assemble.
The Assembler must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality (Ref.
Quality Procedures).
The Assembler shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety (Ref.
job travelers and the Injury and Illness Prevention Program Handbook).
The Assembler shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to AMRO policies and procedures (Ref.
Employee Handbook).
Responsibilities:
Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts Maintain a clean and organized work environment Assemble detail parts as required Install requisite hardware Deburr parts to meet drawing requirements Identify product to meet drawing requirements Assist in packaging of product to assure damage free deliverables Touch-up paint / coated surfaces as required Work with Program Managers to assure timely assembly of product EDUCATION/
Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent work experience Adequate years of assembly experience required determined by AMRO Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and able to follow instructions Must have excellent blue print interpretation skills Must be able to use inspection equipment (i.
e.
calipers, micrometers, etc.
) Must be able to use assembly hand tools Must be able to lift 25 lbs Must have direct communication with internal customers Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions If an exciting career in the Space & Defense Industry is for you, we'd LOVE to talk to you!
